We are pleased to announce the launch of Dudley Safeguarding Children Board (DSCB) multi agency practitioner forum, open to all staff and volunteers who work with Children and Young People Across Dudley Borough 

DSCB want to listen to your views and experiences of working to safeguard children & young people in Dudley and the forum will provide an opportunity to share information, around the board priorities and work activities. 

Also it will provide an opportunity for practitioners from agencies to contribute to the safeguarding agenda for children in Dudley

Dudley Counselling Centre

Dudley Counselling Centre are pleased to announce that we have been successful in securing funding with The Lottery. In addition to our already successful Adult counselling service and weekly support to those most vulnerable in the community through Heavens Kitchen; we are now able to offer Play Therapy to 3 – 12 year olds and older children’s counselling from 13 –18 year olds. Counselling for these age groups is in such huge demand in Dudley we are really pleased to be able to support, children, families and services in this way. Dudley Children’s Services and Safeguarding Board Ofsted Report

Dudley’s Children’s Services and Safeguarding Children Board’s Ofsted Inspection Report is available http://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/local-authorities/dudley

Although this holds a spotlight largely on the Local Authority practice, Partners have to assume responsibility for the contributions we have made to these failings.  Improvements cannot be achieved without the involvement and hard work  of all partners, residents and children in our Borough.

A very positive meeting with Merlin Joseph Chief Officer of Dudley Children’s Services and some Voluntary Sector Providers recently left attendees feeling there was a clear and positive way forward as a meaningful partnership. Notes from this meeting are available on our Events Page
