x2y LGBT Youth Group supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

x2y is seeking a Youth Worker

                           4hrs per week @ £12.64 – £15.00 per hour

(12pm – 3pm on Saturdays + 1 hour to suit)

The successful applicant for this post will be someone who: has experience of working with young people; is well–motivated; able to work well as part of a committed team; and who is able to / has the potential to lead the team. You will need to have a good understanding of the challenges facing LGBT young people and have the ability to support them to make positive choices, gain confidence and value themselves and others. You will also be committed to safeguarding young people and protecting them from abuse or neglect. See person specification in application pack link below.

Current support – x2y currently operates a drop-in session in Wolverhampton City Centre on a Saturday from 12-3pm as the basis for its support. It also provides telephone, email and social media support for lesbian, gay bisexual and trans young people, or any young person questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity who gets in touch. Our plans – x2y is actively pursuing funding to expand its work and there may well be additional hours available in the short to medium term for a suitable candidate.
