There are only 7 days left if you wish to submit a nomination for this year’s Dudley Youth Awards
The event, now in its 13th year, is organised by Dudley Youth Council in conjunction with Dudley Council’s Youth Service and will take place on Friday, 3th March 2017.
Young people (aged 11 to 19 or up to 25 for those with a disability) can be nominated for seven awards – creative arts, sport, contribution to school or further education and environmental.
There are also two inspiration awards for extraordinary young people – overcoming adversity, which recognises commitment, positivity and courage, and the inspiring others rewards commitment, compassion and the very best in a role model.
There is also a group award for community, charity and voluntary work. This recognises groups of young people who have made a joint impact on the lives of others in their local community.
There is also a final category for inspirational adults called The Mary Growcott Award. This is for people who have made a real difference to the lives of young people who they work with and nominations must be made by young people.
Nominations are welcome from anyone – professionals, relatives, neighbours
