Who is this course for?

All staff working with all children and young people who are disabled and where safeguarding issues may arise.

Aims:

* To explore in details the vulnerabilities of disabled children and young people and some of the complexities involved in safeguarding.

* To explore the impact on parents and carers.

* To examine current safeguarding arrangements, including referral, assessment, planning and intervention processes.

* To enable participants to review, evaluate and consider practice.
