Following the recent launch of Dudley’s Thresholds document DSCB is offering a number of workshops which will enable participants to be able to understand and work with the DSCB Threshold guidance.
This training is mandatory for all staff within the children’s workforce.
Levels of need and risk, as well as types of intervention, will be considered through the exploration of case studies. All those working with children and families will be assisted with the practicalities of assessment and how to refer through to the appropriate level of support. The session will also cover:
- Why we need a threshold
- Categories linked to Threshold
- How to make a referral at the appropriate level
- What should be included in a referral
- Professional judgement
- Stepping up and down process
